Red handstamp struck on four folded letters from the Beatty correspondence to Hagerstown Md., each with blue Baltimore circular datestamp and rate marking, this scarce marking is believed to have been applied to the top letter in bundles to indicate payment of postage and possibly carrier fees, accompanied by two folded letter with "Jas. M. Buchanan" printed cut-outs affixed to resemble provisional stamps, Very Fine and interesting group, ex Kelly
