Oct. 23" cds, matching "Paid" & "5" hs on 1846 folded letter to Philadelphia, blue "R" handstamp of Philadelphia, ms. note "With a check of $20 from Mechanics Bank", a handsome cover suitable for exhibition, the only recorded registered cover with the Providence provisional, with 1992 P.F. certificate
