EXTREMELY FINE. A MAGNIFICENT EXAMPLE OF THE PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND, POSTMASTER'S 5-CENT PROVISIONAL TIED BY A HANDSTAMPED MARKING ON COVER. VERY FEW ARE KNOWN TIED IN THIS MANNER. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS COVER HAS BEEN OFFERED AT AUCTION SINCE ITS DISCOVERY IN 1926.
