Lot 54 #9X1e, 5c black, position 8, attractive balanced margins on a 3 3/8 x 4 3/8 piece of a printed prices current on blue paper, tied by the large red New York / 5 Paid foreign mail postmark to an unknown European destination, stamp with tiny marginal tear at left, still very fine and exceptionally handsome; this postmark occurs on approximately half the 100 or so known covers to Britain and Europe and this use on prices current is unique so far as we can tell. 1973 PF Certificate ex-Boker, Norvin Green, Grunin, and Wall. E 1000-1500.
