Joseph Dobson (May 8, 1825 – Sep 15, 1885) was a lawyer and solicitor of the N.C. Superior Court, who served in the N.C. House of Representatives, 1852- 1860, and was a member of the constitutional convention of 1875. Joseph married Sallie Jane Hamlin, and the couple had eleven children.
