It Is A Genuine Usage
Lot 1125 New York, N.Y., 1845, 5¢ black on bluish, (Pos. 33), tied by red "Paid" in arc with second strike alongside on 1847 folded cover to Proctorsville, Vt. with red "New York/26 Nov./5cts" cds at right, manuscript via "N. Haven", Extremely Fine and choice, a most unusual and rare item used concurrent to the 1847 issue, with 1985 P.F. certificate.
