Notes
This section of the census contains rare paper shade varieties and multiples of the more common shades.
I have not yet decided to add multiples of 6LB1 because they are also considered as 40L1.
Robert A. Siegel Auction Galleries estimates there are 10 copies of 6LB2 in existence. This census contains 10 distinct stamps
There are 2 known pairs of 6LB3 known. Both are here.
Robert A. Siegel Auction Galleries also notes only 2 copies of 6LB4 exist. A third copy was sold by Matthew Bennett in sale 314. All three are here. There is a PF certificate for a 4th copy (PF 138130) but this is rather dated and was issued well before the recent Siegel sales. Therefore it may no longer be considered a true 6LB4. I need to do more research on this stamp before including it. (The PF has an image of this
certificate online.)
Several multiples of the common shades of 6LB5 are included here, including a block of 12, and strips of 2, 3 and 4.
I have found only 3 off cover examples of 6LB5a double impression in the blue green shade. All the examples in the blue shade are on cover (as far as I know). One copy of the green shade, from the Caspary sale, is off cover.
There is one stamp known with an offset on the reverse and one on ribbed paper. Both are here.
The single copy of 6LB7 off cover is included in this part of the census. An image of the original cover (PF opinion did not originate) can also be found in the cover section.
