Letter originally sent to 636 Greenwich, the home of John McLean, a lumber dealer. Forwarded in care of Cornelius McLean.
I also found an Ann Elizabeth Fitz Randolph (1801-?), from Staten Island. She was the daughter of Samuel Fitz Randolph (1768-1825) and Mary McLean. She was married to Cornelius McLean (1787-1853) on Jan 4, 1842.
It seems unlikely that the letter recipient was Mrs. McLean, addressed to her maiden name. It may have been addressed to a relative of Ann's (not her mother) that was visiting.
