Thomas J Marvin (June 26, 1803 – Dec 29, 1852) was a graduate of Union College, lawyer, Justice of the Peace, member of the State Assembly, and judge of the Common Court. He also founded a bank and a fire insurance company, becoming the secretary and holding that position until his death. He was also a village trustee, president of the board, and town assessor.
James N. Wells is listed as builder on 9th Ave north of 21st Street. (1843 Doggett’s)
