Edward C. Crary is listed at 37 14th Street in the 1842-43 edition of Doggett’s and at a different address in 1845.
Edward C. Crary (1806-1848) was married to Cornelia Livingston Fulton (1812-1893), the eldest daughter of Robert Fulton, on June 30, 1831.
Cornelia’s sister was Mary Livingston Fulton Ludlow (1813-1861), wife of Robert Morris Ludlow (of Ludlow & Beebe). Mary and Robert married in 1845 and their son, Robert Fulton Ludlow, was born in 1846 so Mary was not yet married when this letter (and others in this correspondence) was written.
Also, as Robert Fulton (1765-1815) and his wife, Harriet Livingston Dale (1783-1826) were both deceased by the early 1840’s, it is very likely that Mary Livingston Fulton was living with her older sister and her husband.
That is, Mary Livingston Fulton may have been the "Miss Fulton" to whom this letter was addressed.
