Letter addressed to Miss Suckley. Doggett’s lists three men with surname Suckley – George (1765-1846), Thomas and Rutsen. In 1843 they are listed together on Hudson Street. In 1845 and 1846 they are listed at 103 St. Marks Place. The partial image suggests this letter was addressed to Hudson Street.
George Suckley, and his wife Catharine Rutsen had 6 children. Surviving to adulthood were Thomas Holy, Rutsen, Sarah and Mary Suckley. Sarah married sometime between 1827 and 1835 to Edward Livingston. Mary Suckley (b. before 1808-1872) never married. This letter was addressed to Mary.
