Memoirs of Mrs. M. A. Boardman, written by John Frederick Schroeder, DD, 1849, New Haven identifies the following: Mary Anna Boardman, her daughter Caroline Maria, her son-in-law John Frederick Schroeder, her sons George & William Henry, and others.
The book contains many letters written between Caroline and her brothers.
The 1843 edition of Doggett’s lists a William Boardman (carpenter), a William Boardman Jr. (engineer), and a William H. Boardman (no occupation), one of which (probably the third) who might have been the writer of this letter.
