Lot 53 St. Louis, Mo., 1845, 10¢ black on greenish (11X2), type II, position 4, large margins all around, pale shade, tied by pen stroke on 1846 folded cover to New York, red "St. Louis Mo. May 29" c.d.s. and matching "Paid" with manuscript "10" at upper right, docketing note opposite stamp, which has a light horizontal file crease near top. Very Fine appearance.
