INITIALS - TWO SINGLES ON 10c-RATE COVER TO DETROIT; 28 Jan. 1847 EL attractively franked for the 10c 300+ miles rate from "NEW YORK" (part red "10cts" c.d.s. on the front) to "Detroit, Mich." franked by two NY Postmasters Provisional 5c Blacks (red "A.C.M." initials of Alonzo Castle Monson; both with good to wide margins except LH stamp just shaved at bottom left) tied by fine red NY barred diamonds with matching curved red "PAID" alongside.
