Lot 154 9X1 5c black, ACM initials, horizontal pair, positions 14-15, three ample to huge margins, clear to just barely touching at right, the left stamp is tied by red New York / 10 cts. postmark (the right stamp is uncancelled) on a remarkably fresh folded letter to St. John, New Brunswick, red arced PAID and ms 7 (pence due for the 61-100 mile rate applicable between Robbinson Me. and St. John), blue St Andrews New Brunswick receiving office transit backstamp and St. John receiving backstamp in black, exceptionally fine; there are only eleven New York Provisional covers recorded used to Canada and the Maritime Provinces, of which two are to New Brunswick, this being, by far, the better of the two; 1962 RPS certificate; ex-Boker, Grunin and Wall.
