#9X1, New York, N.Y. 5c Black Postmaster Provisional, signed ACM connected, single with four full to mostly large margins, strong color and impression, cancelled by two neat pen strokes on 1845 folded letter to Hunter, N.Y., red "New York/5 cts./17 Aug" c.d.s. and matching "Paid" in arc, very fine and quite attractive; 2005 PF certificate.
