Amasa Corbin Moore (1801-1865), the son of Judge Pliny Moore and Martha Corbin, was a lawyer in Plattsburgh. He graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont and, later, became a trustee for 20 years. He married Charlotte, daughter of Gen. Benjamin Mooers, of Plattsburg.
