Lot 1309 New York, N.Y., 1846, 5¢ black on bluish, signed "ACM" connected. Four large, well balanced margins, tied on folded cover to Williamstown, Mass. by red New York c.d.s and red square grid cancels, matching arc "Paid" handstamp at left, Extremely Fine, a lovely cover cancelled solely by New York postmarks, not with the usual manuscript cancellation, with 1999 P.S.E. certificate.
