Roger Sherman Jr. (1768-1856), often referred to as Roger Sherman II, was a Yale graduate, New Haven merchant, and local politician living in New Haven, Connecticut around 1850. He was the son of the famous American Founding Father and first mayor of New Haven, Roger Sherman (1721–1793).
He worked as a merchant, operating the firm Prescott & Sherman on Long Wharf with his uncle Benjamin Prescott, trading in goods and shipping.
Earlier in life, he served as a representative for New Haven in the Connecticut General Assembly (in 1810 and 1811).
