Yes, the name could be Daniel Collin but the d at the end could be written as open as the a. The third letter also looks more like a v than an n. Also, there are two other covers from Troy NY to Fayetteville addressed to David Collin, Sr.
Bob Bramwell notes that the Schenectady post office only used blue ink for the cds between July 1850 and April 1851, making this an 1851 usage.
