Lot 1524 1, 1847 5c Red brown, tied to turned cover with red grid cancel with matching red Boston postmark on "News & General Family Paper" ad cover, cert states return stamp is missing, but in our opinion the manuscript "Paid" and manuscript cancel indicate the inside was mailed from a small town and no stamp ever existed on the inside. Cover has some creasing, soiling at bottom left, tear at top right corner and some corner damage, overall Fine, 2012 PSAG certificate.
