PENNSYLVANIA: Philadelphia / MAY / 11 / 5cts VG & Fine (two strikes) in blue with one tying 5c Franklin (Scott No. 1) on blue folded letter to Hendrick B. Wright Esq., Counselor at Law, Wilkesbarre, Pennsylvania with one page letter of Benjamin Tilghman regarding a court case (see photo of letter).
Fresh Very Good condition, fold separations, toning. The stamp with a bold impression and color has 3 ¾ margins. The letter is complete and intact, including the ornate cameo wax seal in green.
