Letter addressed to John Thompson Kilby (1825-1895). Placing him in the Virginia House of Delegates in 1849 is difficult because he was a medical student in Pennsylvania in 1849. A relative, John Richardson Kilby (1819-1878), was a member of the House of Delegates in 1849-1852. Perhaps John T served as an intern, or a similar role, for John R.
