Lot 373 5c 1847 on cover with boldly struck dark red handstamps of Burlington, Vermont. 5¢ Brown (1), large to full margins, dark shade and worn-plate impression, bold strike of red grid cancel--an over-inked strike with the spaces between bars mostly filled in--matching "Burlington Vt. Aug. 8" double-circle datestamp also boldly struck on blue folded cover to Nashua, New Hampshire, small tear in cover at top right does not affect stamp which is Extremely Fine, a striking cover, ex Saadi
