Cover dated 1850 based on the fact that Mary (and their baby) lived with Clinton at Fort Towson but she returned to New Orleans in the Spring of 1850 in anticipation of Clinton's reassignment to San Antonio. (Shirk, Chronicles of Oklahoma, p 15), [which clearly occurred between June 30 and July 29, 1850.]
