#2, 10c Black, handsome single with especially sharp and detailed impression, four ample to large margins, neatly tied to 1850 entire folded letter by very light blue circular grid cancel that leaves the face virtually clear, blue "Nashville/Te./Mar 24" c.d.s. at left, normal file folds not affecting the stamp, a very fine and choice 1847 cover from Tennessee, which are not common, in fact only 19 covers bearing the Ten Cent value are recorded in Thomas Alexander's census.
