#1a, 5c Dark brown, horizontal pair possessing strong rich color, tied to 1848 entire folded letter by blue grid cancels with "Nashville/Te./Mar. 20" c.d.s. at left, posted to Iowa City, Iowa, an early usage out of Nashville with this pair probably from the first delivery, well margined at top and bottom, cut just inside the frame at right and a couple of small places at left, a fine and handsome cover.
