Scott 2 Washington Imperf Used Stamp on Nice 1850 Cover
Condition: Nice cover with nice blue tied handstamp cancel and additional 'Paid' marking above the stamp...the upper left corner of the stamp with ?pre-use tiny corner crease as shown...typical wear based on this era of cover...the way the cover is folded, the rest of the 'Ohio' is folded inside...small correspondence with 1850 date inside.

CDS double struck with R from lighter second strike (below and shifted to the left) on top of date digit. However, the second strike, when enhanced, clearly shows a 7 (above and to the left of the 10 at the bottom).
Letter addressed to John Milton Williams (1807-1871), attorney, Warren County prosecutor, local merchant and member of the Ohio State Senate. Williams build Glendower Mansion in Lebanon Ohio.
