James Sellers (1783-1857) or James Sellers Jr. (1823-1854) and David Sellers (1815-1887) were wire work and fire hose manufacturers at 231 High Street in Philadelphia (1850 McElroy’s). James invented the process of riveting leather hose, obtaining a patent which naturally lead to the manufacture of leather belting. Abraham Pennock was also associated with the firm.
