Initial cancel is MAY 21 or 24. I favor 24 based on a faint horizontal line halfway up the 2nd digit, but admit being on the edge of the stamp makes it difficult to choose,
The forwarding cancel from NYC is either May 23rd (making the initial cancel May 21) or May 25th (allowing the initial cancel to be either).
I favor May 24th mailing and May 25 forwarding, primarily based on Alexander’s choice of Mar 24.
