O’Shaughnessy & Co., importers and wholesale dealers in foreign and domestic dry goods at the No. 96 Main street at the south east corner of Main & 3rd Streets in Cincinnati (1849-50 Williams city directory). They are listed as agents for the Eagle Cotton Mills in Newport, Ky. in 1852.
The business was started by Thomas O’Shaughnessy, who emigrated from Ireland in 1836. Thomas’ brother, James, joined the business in 1846.
