George Roberts Perkins (1812-1876) was a mathematician and civil engineer. He taught mathematics in Clinton, N.Y., 1831-38. He was principal of the academy at Utica. N.Y., 1838-44; professor of mathematics in the New York State Normal school (now SUNY Albany), 1844-48, and principal of the normal school, 1848-52.
