Sent to Charles Hawley (a lawyer and one time Connecticut probate judge -- see, e.g., http://www.cslib.org/memorials/hawleyc.htm ) in Stamford, Connecticut. The item is interesting in that it is covered front and back by notes (including many names, dates, etc.) -- which look to have been made after this mail was delivered and then if so possibly by Hawley himself ?? -- and therefore may be useful to the historian.
