Scott #1, single, tied to blue folded letter from New York City by DEC 26 (1850) postmark to New Bedford Mass sent by R. E. Robbins to the Maine Bank, John Banke. The stamp is located in the upper left corner and is creased.

Alexander listed as 12/26/50
The Maine Bank did not exist in New Bedford. However, John P. Barker was the cashier of the Marine Bank, incorporated in 1832 and renamed the First National Bank in 1864.
Royal E. Robbins was an importer of watches and watch movements at 35 John Street in NYC (1849 Doggett’s).
