Full to large margins, bright shade from an 1850 printing, tied by red square grid, matching "New-York Oct. 2" circular datestamp on 1850 folded letter to Philadelphia, fresh and Extremely Fine, with notes from Chase on back -- "superb copy of the 5c 1847 in a typical 1850 color and impression. Color approaches the orange--not a common color."
