The contents from wealthy author Nathan B. Warren to Alex Davis, and architect, are headed Ida Cottage. A note in Appleton's helps locate the origin of this letter: Troy. by the time of this entry (1889), Ida is referred to as a villa called Mt. Ida, designed by Mr. Warren, himself.
The letter goes on to discuss Warren's proposed alterations to the house, which has been designed by Davis.
