TIED BY RED BARRED DIAMOND CANCEL; 17 July 1849 EL (asking about the prices of whale oils) from "NEW-YORK" (mainly fine red c.d.s. on the front) to "Bridgeport, Conn." franked by an 1847 5c Red-Brown (4 good wide margins) tied by a fine red NY barred diamond.
