Alexander lists six covers from NYC to South Lee in 1848. All are described with a red square grid cancel and a Cyrus W. Fields & Co. marking.

6. June 7, 1848 with an ms. PAID marking.
There is not much to go on here but the middle letter of the month looks more like a P than a U and there is part of the first letter angling away to the left (like an A). The number below the middle letter looks like a 4 but that may just be wishful thinking. The handstamp is in a different position on the 4/5/48 cover.
