Full to large margins, very fine impression, tied by red square grids, matching "New-York Jan. 8" c.d.s. on 1848 folded lettersheet with wood engraving of steam candy and sugar refinery, to Philadelphia, bluish merchant's oval stamped on reverse, cover folded to show both stamp and letterhead, Very Fine and rare.
