Beautiful early color and impression on deeply blued paper, large margins mostly all around, clear at lower left, used in combination with Boyd's City Express, New York N.Y., 2c Black on Green (20L4), huge margins, natural gum crackling in surface enamel, 5c tied by bold red square grid and "New-York Aug. 7" (1847) circular datestamp, Boyd's local just tied by black cork, on small cover to Blairstown N.J., light wrinkling and toned spots may be easily reduced, Very Fine, a desirable 1847 and local combination one month after first general issue
