H. R. Seymour & Company was a prominent private banking and exchange firm in Buffalo, New York, active during the 1840s and early 1850s, led by pioneer businessman Henry Roderick Seymour (1795-1851).
Letter to Thomas Tusten Reeve (1808-1891), Cashier of the Bank of Orange County in Goshen (1845-1857). In the late 1850s, Reeve relocated west to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where his financial expertise allowed him to become a major pioneer in the region's banking industry. He served as the president of the Commercial National Bank of Oshkosh.
