Letter to Mrs. James Symes. James D. Symes (1777-1853) was married to Martha Thompson (1792-1875).
In a June 10, 1834 letter from Francis Symes (daughter) to Job Symes (son) we learn that Job was a reporter for a newspaper in Rochester and didn’t visit his family at Christmas.
