1847, 5¢ red brown (No. 1), two singles on separate covers from Batavia, N.Y. to Lockport, first with margins to touching top left, tied by red grid, matching Sep. 25 c.d.s. and "5" handstamp at far right, on 1849 folded letter, other with large to ample margins, red grid cancel, matching Jul. 28 c.d.s. and "5" handstamp which has been obliterated by another strike of the grid, on undated folded cover; first stamp lifted and put back (some gum soiling), Fine, other with file fold at far right, Very Fine, outstanding exhibition pair.
