Letter written to Paulina Wood (1826-1908), daughter of Leddra Wood (1802-1848) and Caroline Seely (1909-1858). Paulina was the grand-daughter of Judge Walter Wood and Paulina Mosher. Paulina married John Kellogg, a merchant from Trumansburg, NY on June 14, 1848 which year dates this cover as 1848.
Auburn never received any 1847 postage stamps from Washington DC.
