1847A 5c orange brown Franklin (Scott #1A) singles tied by red square grid cancels on folded cover sent from New York City Accompanying red DEC17,2 New York circular datestamp at left. The stamps have nice margins all around and exhibit bright impressions of this uncommon 1847 Issue color shade. An extremely fine example of this beautiful 5c 1847 Issue color shade on folded cover from New York.
