1847, 5¢ red brown (1), horizontal pair, large margins in right stamp, full margins at left, cancelled by black grids (probably Albany, N.Y.) and tied by red "Montreal Ap. 17, 1851" c.d.s. on folded cover to Quebec, Canada, faint red "Steam/Boat" and red "10", black "U. States" in arc, red Quebec backstamp; lettersheet with tiny edge tears, left stamp with small faults, note on back by C.C. Hart indicates the original contents were dated Apr. 14th, Fine and unusual usage.
