Doggett’s 1848 New York City Directory lists Rev. Frederick F. Cornell at 209 Fifth Ave. Rev. Frederick Frelinghuysen Cornell, DD (1804-1875) was born in Allentown, NJ and graduated from Princeton in 1825. He served in pastorships in Montville NJ and at the Manhattan Church in New York City. His wife was Elizabeth Clock Bell (1822-1882), daughter of John Bell, a partner in the ship building firm of Brown & Bell. Frederick and Elizabeth had 4 children including a son, Dr. Jacob Bell Cornell.
