Addressed to Mrs. Leonice Marston Sampson Moulton (1811-1897). She married Joseph White Moulton, lawyer and former judge of the NY Supreme Court in 1833. Leonice was a world traveler, assisted in US missions in the early to mid-1800s, well known among the politicians of the times, and eventually became a philanthropist in Roslyn, NY. A biography of her is available on the internet.
