#2, 10c Black, handsome and large-margined single tied to 1850 folded cover to Philadelphia by red "St. Louis, Mo./10/Sep. 11" c.d.s., with an additional clear strike at right, the stamp possesses remarkably rich deep color and prooflike impression, the uncommon c.d.s. pmk. is light and unobtrusive, the most notable feature being the "10" rate portion neatly positioned below the head, extremely fine and exceptionally attractive.
