Lot 8 5c Red Brown, 10c Black (1,2), two of each in artistic overlapping arrangement on two white envelopes addressed to Miss E/ E. Turner in Boston, 5c - Both stamps with large margins all around, rich color and impression on deeply blued paper, 10 c “ both fine. Former with red St. Louis Mo / Jan 29 / 10 integral cds, latter with red St. Louis Mo. / Dec 24 cds. Multiple strikes tie stamps, additional strike at right on each cover, 5c cover pristine, 10c cover fresh with one backflap missing and small opening tears just showing at edges, still extremely fine. A marvelous matching pair of covers, 5c ex Brown, Caspary, signed Ashbrook, 10c Ex Green, both ex Rust. E 15,000-20,000
